Your ceremony should be a selection of rituals and language that suit your style.
Where do we begin your love story?
License
Couples are responsible for getting their marriage licence from a City Hall in Ontario, which you give to me before the ceremony for signing at the time of vows.
Quick note, marriage licenses are only valid for 90 days. Please ensure you time it accordingly.
Plan
We meet in person, review your wants, needs and vow design. Get inspired to make this the very special day you want! Whether we write it together, you choose from a choice of vows or we go traditional, it is all about what you and your beloved want to hear.
Certificate
You are married! I mail in the license by registered mail; you contact Service Ontario for your official marriage certificate.
Packages for your consideration
Traditional
The full package! This wedding service includes getting to know each other, planning the customized ceremony, performing the ceremony, and legal registration of your marriage licence. A rehearsal can be added to make the experience fun and go smoothly!
We start with getting to know each other to prepare your customized ceremony. You will receive a ceremony and vow template to work with and resources so you can make it personal. We build all the legal and personal elements into the ceremony with unlimited emailing. This package includes any additions you wish to have (honouring seniors, unity ceremonies for blended families), and all legal paperwork. I will submit your marriage licence and explain how to retrieve your marriage certificate.
Elopement
A simple, heartfelt ceremony we design together is a great alternative to City Hall. We can book your favorite restaurant, meet at a park, backyard or in your own home.
For this ceremony I do like to include vows and ring exchange, but everything is designed around how you see your wedding. Pricing depends on time, location and duration.
You will supply the marriage license and two witnesses.
Paperwork Only
A simple 'no fuss' meeting to complete the marriage licence, quickly and easily with 2 witnesses. You can chose to exchange rings, add a few personalized vows and we check off all the requirements to meet ensure you are legally married under the Ontario Marriage Act.
Some couples chose this option if they are having a destination wedding and the ceremony will not be legally binding in Ontario or, if you would like to have a friend perform your wedding ceremony (see below) and for me to do the legal part!
You need to bring your license, 2 witnesses and a chose a location we mutually agree upon.
Friend Conducting Ceremony
For couples who want to be married by a good friend or relative, we can make it happen! My role remains the same as acting as your Officiant, covering the legal aspects of the ceremony and completing the paperwork.
We work together with your vision to make sure the ceremony incorporates all legally required elements and your friend covers the symbolic, personalized vows.
